Carvallo Customs – Terms & Conditions
1. About Us
Carvallo Customs (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides vehicle repair and refinishing services including bodyshop and mobile SMART repair services. By instructing us to carry out work, you (“the customer”) agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Services
We provide services including, but not limited to:
Accident damage repair
Bodyshop refinishing and full resprays
SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) repairs
Custom paintwork and modifications
Alloy wheel refurbishment
All services are carried out using industry-standard materials and processes.
3. Estimates and Additional Work
3.1 All estimates are based on visible damage only.
3.2 We reserve the right to amend estimates if further damage is identified during repair.
3.3 No additional work will be carried out without customer approval.
3.4 Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
4. Bookings and Payment
4.1 A deposit may be required to secure a booking.
4.2 Deposits are non-refundable unless agreed otherwise in writing.
4.3 Full payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed.
4.4 We reserve the right to retain possession of the vehicle until payment has been made in full (lien).
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
5.1 We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling where possible.
5.2 Failure to provide adequate notice may result in loss of deposit.
6. Warranty
6.1 Bodyshop Repairs (Workshop-Based Work)
We provide a 3-year warranty on paintwork and workmanship carried out within our bodyshop, covering defects such as:
Peeling or delamination of paint
Lacquer failure
Defects arising from workmanship or materials
6.2 SMART & Mobile Repairs
SMART and mobile repairs are covered by a 6-month warranty due to the nature of localised repairs and blending techniques.
6.3 Warranty Conditions
This warranty applies under normal use and maintenance of the vehicle.
6.4 Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
Stone chips, scratches, or impact damage after repair
Environmental damage (including bird droppings, tree sap, industrial fallout)
Improper care, neglect, or use of harsh cleaning chemicals
Pressure washing too close to repaired areas
Pre-existing corrosion or defects outside the repaired area
Previous repairs or underlying paint failure not carried out by us
Natural paint fade or slight colour variation
7. Colour Matching
7.1 We aim to achieve the closest possible colour match using professional paint systems.
7.2 Exact colour matching cannot be guaranteed due to factors such as age, weathering, and previous repairs.
7.3 Blending into adjacent panels may be required to achieve the best finish.
8. Customer Responsibilities
8.1 Customers must disclose any known previous repairs or damage.
8.2 Vehicles must be presented in a condition suitable for repair.
8.3 All personal belongings must be removed prior to work commencing.
9. Timeframes and Delays
9.1 Estimated completion times are provided as guidance only.
9.2 We are not liable for delays caused by:
Parts availability
Weather conditions (for mobile repairs)
Additional damage discovered during repair
Circumstances beyond our control
10. Liability
10.1 We will take all reasonable care with your vehicle whilst in our possession.
10.2 We are not liable for:
Pre-existing damage or faults
Mechanical or electrical failures unrelated to our work
Loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle
10.3 Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.
11. Insurance Work
11.1 Customers may nominate us as their repairer for insurance claims.
11.2 Any insurance excess or non-approved costs remain the responsibility of the customer.
11.3 We are not responsible for decisions made by insurers or third-party assessors.
12. Storage and Collection
12.1 Vehicles must be collected promptly upon completion.
12.2 Storage charges may apply after 48 hours unless agreed otherwise.
13. Acceptance of Work
13.1 Payment and/or collection of the vehicle constitutes acceptance of the work carried out.
13.2 Any concerns must be raised prior to collection where possible.
14. Data Protection
We handle customer data in accordance with UK data protection laws. Your information will only be used for business purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
